- On E!'s "House of Villains," "Vanderpump Rules" star Jax Taylor says he made around $450,000 on Cameo.
- Taylor also claims his wife's Jenny Craig spokesperson deal is worth $2 million.
- The revelations left "Love Is Blind" star Shake questioning if Taylor needs the $200,000 prize.
"Vanderpump Rules" star Jax Taylor has a very lucrative side hustle.
"I've made about probably $450,000 on Cameo alone," Taylor revealed on Thursday's episode of "House of Villains" while offering "Love Is Blind" star Shake Chatterjee advice on other sources of income he can tap into in addition to his work as a veterinarian.
The online service allows fans to request personalized video messages from celebs for a fee that can range from $1 to $15,000. A personal video from Taylor costs $121.
Taylor also revealed to Shake that his wife, Brittany Cartwright, is making millions from a partnership with Jenny Craig. She announced a role as a company spokesperson in January 2022.
"My wife makes a lot of money," Taylor said. "She just got a $2 million job from Jenny Craig. My wife crushes it."
E!'s new reality series pits 10 iconic TV villains against one another to battle it out for $200,000.
Taylor's unexpected reveal left Shake wondering how much the Bravo star really needs to win the show's prize money.
"When I heard it the first time, I'm like, 'Oh, hell yeah, man, good for you.' By the third time, I heard it, I'm like, "Must be nice, bro. Must be nice,'" Shake told Insider via Zoom recently of other times Taylor brought up his income that weren't seen on the show. "I was on reality TV, but not to the extent Jax was. We're not in the same situation."
"How bad do you really need this?" Shake said of Taylor. "I think I need this a little bit more, this $200k."
Up for eviction in the house against Taylor and "The Bachelor" star Corinne Olympios, Shake used that info to his advantage to try and sway other house guests like Bobby Lytes of "Love & Hip Hop: Miami" to vote Taylor out.
"That's the nature of this game," Shake said. "You have to do a little backstabbing to set yourself apart. I needed to stay in the house and I was willing to bring up whatever I needed to bring up."
Unfortunately, Shake didn't realize Taylor was within earshot and heard the Netflix star claim he didn't need the prize money.
"Hey, yes I do need the money," Taylor said, adding, "You don't live in California. You don't have a mortgage. You don't pay California taxes. You live in Florida. You don't even fucking pay taxes in Florida."
He added: "Everybody needs money or they wouldn't be here."
Taylor's estimated net worth is $4 million. In 2019, he and Cartwright purchased a nearly $2 million five-bedroom, five-bathroom 3,765-foot home in the San Fernando Valley, California shortly after getting married.
By the episode's end, the Shake and Taylor got into a heated verbal altercation where the Netflix star called Taylor a high-school bully.
In response, Taylor called him out for degrading women on season two of "Love Is Blind," adding, "If I see you out in Hollywood, I will gladly go back to jail for you."
When asked if he and Taylor patched things up, Shake told Insider, "I don't want to say too much, but I think Jax is the only person on the cast that I wouldn't call a friend right now. And that's not completely on me."
Shake added: "There's been several moments where I'm like, 'All right, I just want to bury the hatchet with this guy and move past this, but he hasn't allowed that. And I think he'll tell you the same thing. I don't think he has any intent of making peace."
